Body Composition Profiling

Body Composition Profiling – Opportunistic Quantification from DXA, CT and MRI scans

Body composition is a crucial indicator of overall health. Understanding your body fat percentage, muscle mass, and bone density can help you evaluate your risk for chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis.

Why do you want to do this?

Monitoring changes in your body composition allows you to track changes in your body over time, such as alterations in muscle mass or body fat percentage. This is particularly useful if you are aiming to lose weight or build muscle.

What’s missing?

While cross-sectional imaging studies like CT and MRI scans provide a wealth of quantitative information, many of these details are currently not included in radiology reports. Examples include organ volume, visceral fat, muscle volume, and bone density.

Thanks to the advancement of deep learning segmentation models, it is now possible to accurately and reliably obtain this additional information from imaging modalities.

What We Offer?

At Snowhill Science, we have developed our own automated segmentation pipeline specifically designed for CT and MRI scans. This pipeline generates automated reports that accompany traditional radiology reports, providing quantitative information that was previously unavailable.

Services We Provide

Type 1: Imaging Centre

We have partnered with local imaging centres in Hong Kong to perform imaging scans such as DXA, CT or MRI scans. We can do simple quantitative reports or more comprehensive reports including traditional radiology reports. You may find out more information about the various packages on our Store page.

Type 2: Direct Customer Upload

If you already have done the scan, you can directly upload your scans to us and we will revert with a body composition profiling report within 24 hours. Our secure online uploading platform is secure and HIPPA-compliant. You can proceed to our Store page for more information.
